Like my co-bloggers, I’m pretty bummed about Elizabeth Warren dropping out. While I’m not feeling the acute devastation I did in 2016, it still hurts that a very qualified woman is out in favor of two old white dudes.

I really enjoyed this WaPo feature on a woman in the Deep South trying to make sense of her political feelings in the age of Trump. While we lean pretty heavily on blaming Southern white women for Trump (and we should, but like…also blame Russia), this was a nuanced and compassionate look at an educated, principled, somewhat conservative woman feeling alienated by Trump.

Depressing article, but important to know about abortion access.

If you’ve watched “Shrill,” the brilliant Hulu comedy starring Aidy Bryant, and wondered why the main character’s love interest was so shitty, read this.

Full disclosure, I haven’t listened to this podcast yet but I love Ashley C. Ford’s writing (and her Instagram!), so I’m looking forward to this one.

A great read on how the writer uses her size as a “superpower” of sorts to get the actresses she interviews to open up to them, and how difficult it is to live online in a world of “body positivity.”

A graph to help you find your perfect tinted moisturizer? Of course I’m interested.

I’m tired of women being punished for their competence. That’s all.

My boss sent me this article yesterday, and as a longtime fan of “The West Wing” (Aaron Sorkin is a little more problematic), I loved it.

Y’all know that I love a good behind-the-scenes look at logistics, and seeing Super Tuesday from data wonk Steve Kornacki’s point of view was amazing.

Honestly, I’m writing this Friday morning, and I’m pretty bummed. It’s been a hard week, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who is taking the results of Super Tuesday personally. We try not to get overtly political here, but by reading our reviews and watching our instagram stories, I feel confident you can guess where we fall on the spectrum. That said, I voted for Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday, and I am so glad I was given the opportunity to do so. Somehow, her leaving the race feels harder in way than 2016, and I’m still bummed enough that I know I’m not articulating it correctly. Instead, I’ll share a few articles, and hope that the next time is better.

Don’t worry, I’ll still be voting in November, and volunteering before that. Just not today.

Finally, do I need this VOTE shirt?
